Alleys represent the inner workings of a city. The guts, the heart, the veins, the arteries, the nerves - they keep a city humming. They’re humble, unadorned, yet hint at the history of a place. I find perfect little compositions walking the alleys of a city: pipes, wires, trash bins, cages, plants, broken windows, doorways to heaven.
